Expert historian
Mel Ni Mhaolanfaidh
She is a Historian and Tour Guide who researches and creates unique walking tours in Sligo in the North-West of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way.
She graduated with a Diploma in Heritage and Folklore in 2019 at St Angela’s College, a campus of the National University College, Galway. In 2022, she graduated with a Masters in Historical and Heritage Studies of the North West, in which she researched the subject of policing in Sligo in the nineteenth century for her dissertation.
Mel has a passion for Irish history, specialising in local history, dark history, literary tourism and social history.
